You Are My Prince of Peace

It's funny how sometimes in this life we just want to go, go, go...not taking the time to rest adequately when we need to, not realizing when we need to come to a complete stop because of illness or other events and on the list goes. This might not be the case for you, but I know it is for me...having my kids home with me, I've put the bar extremely high and seem to try and reach and maintain it, no matter what the consequences. Yesterday and today I've finally given in and said, "I need to rest to get better...there will be other days to teach and it will do us all a world of good to get healthy!" I feel guilty doing this, but deep down, I know I have to rest or I'm going to be in worse shape and that's just not worth it!

I'm just posting a song and then I'm going to lay back down and try to rest...I hope you all have a great rest of the week...we'll talk to you soon!

You Are My Prince of Peace
You are my Prince of Peace
And my Majesty
You'll live with me,
Forever.

I'll raise my life to you.
And give you all of me!
My Abba Father,
My truest love.
In all my storms of life,
I'll call out to you.
Abba Father,
My precious King.

Because you're my Prince of Peace,
And my Majesty.
You'll live with me,
Forever.

In every part of me,
Let your spirit breath.
Draw me closer,
To your love.
May I be the clay,
And you the Potter.
Mold me Father,
Make me truly yours.

Oh, I love you, my precious Father,
You are my God and I love you.
I give you everything, every part of me,
Make me truly yours today.

Because you're my Prince of Peace,
And my Majesty.
Come live with me,
Forever,
Please come live with me, Forever!

"This is what I have asked of God for you: that you will be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love, and that you will have the rich experience of knowing Christ with real certainty and clear understanding. For God's secret plan, now at last made known, is Christ himself."

~Colossians 2:2 (TLB)

Sometimes it's God's way of saying: stop!
Nobody will benefit wearing yourself out.
May God's peace give you health, rest and refreshment.

Thanks for the song, it was beautiful:-)

God's Grace.

Thanks Kc and Corry...this is actually the only song I actually have written music for...I still am working with it, but it'll come.

You are so true Corry...that is his way of saying STOP! I just told my kids this afternoon that they needed to play quietly and try to stay out of trouble...I managed to sleep, wake up and take medicine and then sleep some more. The Advil is working and my fever is now staying down, but with it's up and downs, it's taking a lot of energy out of me.

So I guess I need to quit being so stubborn and rest...have faith that everything with teaching school and my family will fall into place and be okay!

God bless you both!

Hi Cinder, thanks for the reminder. I often find myself also just want to go, go, go, and not having enough rest....I must learn more to 'be still and know that He is God.' Enjoy your blog!

Audrey and Pia ~ I'm trying hard to rest...it's not always that easy with a 4.5, 6.5 & 8.5 at home with you, but we're managing. Two of the kids and I have some antibiotics now, so hopefully the combination of both will be successful in getting us on the road to recovery!

God bless you both...have a great rest of the week!

Kitty Cheng ~ Thanks so much for stopping by...it's so very true that we sometimes have to sit back and learn to "be still and know that he is God" and Praise God that he is! I hope to talk to you again soon...I hope you have a great rest of the week as well...God bless!
