A Bull-Headed Grump

"i think the problem is that we think that we have to figure it all out in order to pray for God to do the right thing. we should probably just ask for that, whether we can discern what the right thing is or not. he's God. he'll figure it out."

He truly does speak mountains somedays through the people around us. I guess the trick is, as to whether we choose to listen and heed the advice, or continue to try the road on our own. I wish somedays I wasn't quite so bull-headed, grumpy and a true annoyance. I guess that's my cue to be quiet a little while...silence is sometimes the best policy to heed...for all who are involved.

Yup. I found some wisdom in that - and mainly in the doing of that. Sometimes we need to hold our tongue - if only for the sake of looking wise.

Prayer, what an issue in my life right now - I am nto even sure where I stand. I know this though - God does hear us and he does what he wills - who am I to try bend that will to my will? I am at such a loss of words when it comes to this topic.

Hey there Society, the interesting thing is, that you don't always know how your week will play out. I couldn't of known how timely this post or the decision to be more silent would be the past couple of days.

Prayer...I've been struggling for months to actually pray out loud, but I feel my prayers are lifted even though they might go through thought vs. words. He does hear and He pieces things together...it's not expected that we need to go to Him with everything together and perfect. He meets us where we are at and has the awesome ability to know what we mean and need, regardless of how things might come out.

The past few years have definitely taught me that I need to be silent and allow His will to be done. He knows what's best for us, even when we don't. In the past, when I've tried to bend that will to my will, it always ends up going exactly to where He wants anyhow.

Blessings to you!

The power of solitary silence spent with our Lord in prayers. He is listening to us all the time =)
